The Lafayette Parks Division is seeking bids for mowing, string trimming, edging, and blowing off debris at 11 park sites throughout the city. (See attachment for maps detail).
When submitting your proposal, bid each park area separately, with cost breakdowns for each location.
Alternate Bids #1: Please bid the alternate as a separate bid for 10 parks sites. These will follow the same scope of service as the original bid. Bid each park area separately, with cost breakdowns for each location.
Alternate Bid #2: Please bid the alternate as a separate bid for the 8 city facilities. These will follow the same scope of service as the original bid. Bid each facility area separately, with cost breakdowns for
each location.
Alternate Bid #3: Please bid the alternate as a separate bid for each streetscape sites. These will follow the same scope of service as the original bid. Bid each site area separately, with cost breakdowns for each location.
Scope of Services
The maintenance agreement will be for weekly mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing off debris for approximately twenty-eight weeks per year beginning mid-April through mid-October 2023. The agreement could vary with the presence of a drought or unusual weather conditions. The City of Lafayette reserves the right to change mowing as determined by the Parks Superintendent.
Contactor will mow turf to three inches (3”) in height of cut and trim around all trees, posts, shrubs, fence lines (as needed) along sidewalks, parking lots and roads. Clippings will be blown off hard surfaces back into the landscape, clippings and debris cannot be blown into streets or parking lots, this is a violation of the city’s storm water permit.
** At a few locations the contractor will mow a four feet wide beauty band in native areas along walks, parking lots and fence lines. All work will be performed weekly, and the contractor will supply the city a set schedule. It should be noted when contractor is making the schedule for mowing operations the following parks need to be attended to first thing in the morning due to high volume of traffic: LaMont Does Park / Great Outdoors Water Park, Waneka Lake Park, and Whitetail Park.
