The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to identify and select a solar team to be a partner in the design and installation of a photovoltaic system for the new Salida Fire Station in Salida, Colorado at 611 Oak Street Salida, CO.
Objective
The owner’s objective is to complete a photovoltaic system on the new Salida Fire Station. The City of Salida has a passion for sustainability and understands the benefits of renewable energy. We want to work with a company that shares the same passion and goals.
Background and History
The City of Salida has received grant funding from DOLA (Renewable and Clean Energy Initiative (HB 21-1253) (RNSS)) and will be contributing City funding for the installation of a photovoltaic system for the new Salida Fire Station. The new fire station is slated for construction completion by mid- December 2024.
Project Information
The City of Salida will hire a qualified contractor to install solar panels and associated equipment at the new under-construction fire station, located at 611 Oak Street in the City of Salida, Colorado. Work includes purchase and installation of approximately two hundred seventy-two (272) 590-watt solar panels, one hundred thirty-eight (138) power optimizers, one (1) inverter, and a 160 kilowatt (kW) remote energy monitoring system. The project must be code compliant and have AC connection to the grid.
The project must be completed by 6/30/2025. Company must aid in Interconnection Agreement with Xcel energy to receive rebates and connect to the grid.
The company must also assist in applying for the Direct Payment incentive from the IRS governmental agencies of 40% of the project cost if we are eligible.
