Denver Health and Hospital Authority, a body corporate and political subdivision of the State of Colorado, hereinafter referred to as DHHA, intends to contract with a provider for a multi-purpose single-plane, interventional (SPI) system. This system will be principally used for the performance of a broad spectrum of vascular/interventional procedures.
Emphasis by the DHHA shall be expressly placed on the following operating characteristics of the SPI equipment model being proposed by the Contractor: (a) workflow efficiency and patient safety features; (b) image acquisition and post-processing capabilities; (c) mechanical stability/robustness of the generators, tubes, flat panel detectors, table components, C-arm, and monitor configuration for the examination and control rooms; (d) interface capabilities with the DHHA’s hospital information system (HIS), and picture archiving and communication system (PACS); (e) image importing and integration capabilities; (f) system image quality control mechanisms; (g) system features to automatically display, monitor, and document patient radiation exposure levels; and (h) experience of other users concerning the overall reliability of the Contractor’s SPI system with regard to documented uptime, ease of use, and corrective maintenance history.
