Denver Water proudly serves high-quality water and promotes its efficient use to 1.5 million people in the city of Denver and many surrounding suburbs. Established in 1918, the utility is a public agency funded by water rates and new tap fees, not taxes. It is Colorado’s oldest and largest water utility. Denver Water’s mission is “to expertly manage and supply an essential natural resource to sustain our vibrant community – because water connects us all.”
Denver Water is seeking consulting assistance in evaluating and improving our current environment as a diverse, equitable and inclusive employer. The Chief of Staff will oversee this project and the selected Proposer (“Consultant”) will work directly with Denver Water’s executive leadership team, which is comprised of the CEO/Manager, five division chiefs, including Engineering, Finance, Operations and Maintenance, External Affairs and Administrative Services, as well as General Counsel, and Chief of Staff. The Consultant will leverage the leadership team to understand how the divisions, sections, and workgroups function. It is imperative that the Consultant understand the unique culture of Denver Water’s workforce to effectively complete the tasks in this Scope of Work.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Denver Water administrative personnel are working from home until at least mid- 1st quarter of 2021. All meetings, work sessions, and events referenced in this Scope of Work will take place via conference call or video conference unless otherwise noted. The Consultant and Denver Water will adhere to all applicable local and state government guidelines regarding travel into and out of Colorado, as well as within Colorado.
