The Department of Facilities, Fleet and Emergency Services of Douglas County Government, hereinafter referred to as the County, respectfully requests proposals from responsible and qualified consultants to update the County’s All-Hazards Mitigation Plan in accordance with all of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA’s) current standards and requirements. The All-Hazards Mitigation Plan is developed to fulfill Federal, State, and local hazard mitigation planning responsibilities; to promote pre and post disaster mitigation measures, short/long range strategies that minimize suffering, loss of life, and damage to property resulting from hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions to which citizens and institutions within Douglas County are exposed, and to eliminate or minimize conditions which would have an undesirable impact on our citizens, the economy, environment, and well-being of the County.
The Douglas County Office of Emergency Management and Douglas County Facilities, Fleet and Emergency Services will be the local lead and point of contact for the successful consultant. The updated plan will be delivered no later than December 1, 2020.
