IFB-24-008 - Construction of the Arnold Avenue Bridge Replacement Project

El Paso County is soliciting bids from qualified, experienced, professional Contractors to furnish all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for the Construction of the Arnold Avenue Bridge Replacement Project, which generally includes demolition and construction of the bridge with an offsite detour and Preble’s Meadow Jumping Mouse (PMJM) mitigation. The project consists of removal and new build of the bridge on Arnold Avenue, 0.2 miles west of Mitchell Avenue in Monument in El Paso County, Colorado. The project will replace aging infrastructure and ensure full freedom of movement for larger vehicles in the area, in particular emergency response vehicles. The existing Arnold Avenue Bridge (EPC0840-00.50) is a Twin T structure, 59.5 feet in length, built in 1965. The bridge structure and surface are in poor condition with a 53 sufficiency rating and is load posted (12T/19T/19T).
