IFB-24-061 - Construction of the Security Ditch Project

El Paso County is soliciting bids from qualified, experienced, professional Contractors to furnish all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for Construction of the Security Ditch Project, which generally includes removal and replacement of the concrete lined ditch from Fontaine Blvd to just north of Crew’s Gulch.
The existing ditch within the Ditch Parcel is concrete lined, and over time, the concrete has begun to fail with some areas of complete failure and undermining.
The Ditch Parcel is privately owned, but the County has an agreement with, and Temporary Easement from, the owner for construction on the property. There is BNSF Railroad right-of-way on the west side and private property on the east side of the Ditch Parcel. Construction of the improvements will not impact the Railroad ROW nor private property, but access to the Ditch Parcel from adjacent private property(ies) and/or the Railroad ROW will be required. The County has acquired temporary easements and a right of entry from property owners on the east side. A Temporary Occupancy permit from the BNSF Railroad for access to and adjacent to the Ditch Parcel must be acquired by the Contractor.
