16-117 - Prefabricated Large Concrete Blocks

The El Paso County Public Works Department is seeking best value bids for Prefabricated Large Blocks materials.  The primary purpose of this bid is to satisfy project-specific requirements for the Tanager Channel Stabilization project for providing engineered large concrete block needed for a channel embankment gravity retaining wall, adjoining separately-purchased 18" riprap channel flowline and 18" riprap armoring above the gravity retaining wall.  See attached preliminary plan & profile and wall dimensions below.  Depth to bedrock, groundwater conditions, and exact soil gradation and soil type are unknown.  Expansive soils will not be used as backfill.  Slope above wall varies between 2:1 and 4:1. This bid is for material, delivery, and any included basic engineering design only.
