The El Paso County Community Services Department (County) is seeking written best-value bids from qualified, experienced contractors to provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to renovate the wedding gazebo at Fox Run Regional Park. The project generally includes demolition of existing concrete, pavers, and decorative block walls. Construction will include new CMU block walls, concrete, renovating walking bridge, modifying gazebo support columns. Completed work must be in accordance with the scope of work, attached plans, specifications, and construction details.
The Wedding Gazebo at Fox Run Regional Park was constructed in 1985 and over the years has become a very popular facility in El Paso County Parks for weddings and other community events. The gazebo needs a renovation due to the decorative block walls around the perimeter have started to settle, wood materials for the bridge and gazebo pillars have weathered, and the bridge railing height and perimeter wall need to meet ADA compliance. The wedding gazebo is an island near the north edge of the irrigation pond. Contractor will need to coordinate with County staff to lower water levels for construction.
