RFP- 23077 - Slates (tablets) Devices

Summary of Specifications:
Over the last decade Jefferson County School District No. R-1 (District) has established a reputation within the state and beyond for their cutting edge integration of technology in education. Over the past two years we have watched as advancements in slate technology have created new ways to engage students in learning and offer improvements in the way that teachers provide instruction. The District is posed to integrate a slate device into the professional development and support structures that we have utilized for other technology hardware and provide our community with revised version of 21st century learning environments. At this time we do not have plans for slate technology to be integrated in the District as a formal one-to-one initiative. Purchases will be made after school-based Technology Committees consider the use of these devices for small group work or as a shared classroom set that travels around the school with a security/charging cart. Jefferson County School District currently has an 802.11 b/g/n wireless network which will provide connectivity for all slate devices. It is the District’s intent to award contracts to multiple Respondents to develop an authorized list of slate devices that schools and administrative offices can purchase under.
