6-19-3 - High School Health Instructional Resources

Littleton Public Schools is looking for high school comprehensive health instructional resources that are aligned to the content and instructional strategies of the 2020 Colorado Academic Standards for Comprehensive Health (excluding the physical education standards).  LPS is looking for instructional resources that can support as many of the comprehensive health standards as possible with minimal need for supplementation.

LPS requests that publishers articulate the alignment to the 2020 Colorado Academic Standards for comprehensive health and the 2020 Colorado Academic Standards Essential Skills.
 
LPS will consider separate resources for each of the strands of the 2020 CAS comprehensive health standards, if necessary. These include physical and personal wellness, social and emotional wellness, prevention and risk-management. 

Please address what type of professional development and training is required and provided in order to successfully implement the comprehensive health resource(s).  Indicate whether that professional development is provided as part of the purchase or if that is purchased at a separate cost.  Additionally, what on-going professional development is available as the resource is used across the years.

Littleton Public Schools serves ~5000 students in grades 9-12.  We have 4 high school buildings.  Each school requires a semester of health education in the 10th or 11th grade year. 

Resources should be developmentally appropriate for 10th and 11th grade students.
