RFP-141.2015 - Supply of Bear Proof Totes and Dumpsters

Summary of Specifications:
The totes and dumpsters being requested by the County are to be utilized as part of the County SCRAPS program. The SCRAPS program is a food waste diversion program in the County. County will be providing large totes and dumpster containers (subject of RFP) to rural communities, neighborhoods and restaurants/hotels to collect food scraps and composting this waste at the County Landfill. The goal is to have a five-fold increase in food waste diversion while reducing the number of bear/human conflicts reported each year. Contracts for the supply of these goods will be executed after July 1, 2015. The program will be managed from, and delivery of goods shall be to Pitkin County Landfill at 32046 Highway 82, Aspen CO 81611.
