The project will be carried out in two phases, with Phase 1 consisting of the construction of a new spray park, playgrounds, picnic pavilions, bath house, restroom building, and other park-related amenities. The eastern half (Phase 2) of the project, is not included in this bid request to allow for the existing baseball field to remain in use during Phase 1 of the project. Phase 2 will not be constructed until other ball fields located within the Town have been completed and the existing restroom in that phase will not be demolished.
Additional site work included in Phase 1, but not limited to: site clearing, demolition and removals, grading and erosion control, site drainage, sidewalks, paving, striping, storm drainage systems, landscape** and irrigation, installation of site furnishings (benches, bike racks, tables, etc), electric service connections, and installation of underground electric conduits and pull boxes for site lighting and all light fixtures. Compaction testing will be required and covered by contractor.
**Note that the contract includes 1 year of maintenance on landscape plantings.
Contract documents require that all work be completed no later than April 28th, 2024.
The Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the OWNER. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid Price must accompany each Bid in the form specified in the Instructions to Bidders.
There will be a Pre-Bid Meeting for this project April 13th at 12:30pm at 807 Mountain Ave.
All RFI’s to be submitted by Wednesday, April 19th at 12:00 p.m.
Addendum to RFI’s will be posted Thursday, April 21st by 3:00 p.m.
Bid Opening will be at 1:00 pm., OWNER’s clock, Wednesday, May 3rd at 807 Mountain Ave.
