In general, the work to be performed under this contract includes the removal and replacement of: existing concrete pavement; pattern concrete; sidewalk; curb and gutter; mountable curb; gutter and walk; crosspan (10” thick); curb ramp (6” thick); 4” sidewalk; and 6” sidewalk. The Contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work in accordance with these specifications. Contractor will be required to coordinate construction activities with adjacent businesses, trash removal companies, school district, HOA, Metro Districts, and other Town maintenance projects if applicable. Contractor shall commence work no later than the date indicated on the Notice to Proceed. If “Construction Completion” is not issued within the allotted contract time for the original scope of work, “Liquidated Damages” shall be assessed. When contract work is complete, the contractor shall commence work on punchlist items, cleanup, and demobilizing regardless of contract time
remaining. Work shall take place between April 15, 2024, and June 28, 2024. A schedule of sequencing of all work shall be submitted at or before the project pre-construction meeting, and approved by the Town prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed.
Alternate Scopes of Work - Bids shall include the Schedule A Scope of Work, as described below. Pending budget, the Project may also include the Schedule B Scope of Work (as shown in attached map), and/or the Schedule C Scope of Work (as shown in attached map) (together referred to as the “Additional Scopes of Work”). Alternate bid schedules which include the Additional
Scopes of Work, individually or combined, shall be considered for contract award. If awarded, work on the Additional Scopes of Work shall begin April 15 and be completed by May 24.
Completion of Work: The contractor shall commence work no later than the date indicated on the Notice to Proceed, and achieve Construction Completion (punchlist items, cleanup, and demobilize) within forty (40) working days (Schedule A) from the date on the Notice to Proceed. If Schedules B and/or C Scope of Work is awarded, additional contract days beyond the forty (40) working day deadline for Schedule A Scope of Work will be evaluated by the Town. If “Construction Completion” is not issued within the allotted contract time, liquidated damages shall be assessed.
