The work to be performed under this contract generally includes: Steel Sheet Piling (Type I) 4,040 SF; Grouted Boulders (36-inch) 116 CY; Grouted Boulders (24-inch) 1,286 CY; 3’ Boulders (Ungrouted) 117 CY; Void Filled Riprap (9 inch) 441 CY; Soil Riprap (9 inch) 214 CY; Soil Riprap (12 inch) 266 CY; Concrete Trail with Rumble Strip 622 SY; Concrete Class D 306 CY; Earthwork; Dewatering and Water Control; and Grading, Erosion and Sediment Control (GESC) Items.
Work items are to be completed in accordance with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, Town of Castle Rock (Town) Construction Methodology & Materials Manual, and other applicable Town standards and details. This project is subject to the requirements of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of the Army. Additionally, this project is partially located within a FEMA regulated floodplain and Preble’s Meadow Jumping Mouse habitat and is subject to all local, state and federal regulations.
The Contractor is responsible for obtaining State Stormwater Discharge and Dewatering permits, as applicable. The Contractor shall also obtain Construction and GESC permits with the Town. There are no fees associated with these Town permits.
The Town anticipates a Notice of Award on or around March 1, 2018. The construction duration will be 120 calendar days to final completion.
