The Town of Castle Rock (Town) will be constructing intersection improvements at the Four Corners (Founders Parkway, SH-86, Fifth Street and Ridge Rd.) as a part of the approved 5-year Capital Improvement Plan. The project is located approximately 2 miles east of downtown Castle Rock on Fifth Street, in Castle Rock, Colorado. Founders Parkway and the eastern leg of the intersection (SH-86) are part of the State's highway system, and Ridge Rd. is a major roadway that traverses Douglas County. Founders Parkway, SH 86, Fifth Street, and Ridge Rd. are identified as principal arterials in the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) regional transportation plan (RTP). The proposed improvements identified for the intersection are intended to address safety and operational concerns at the intersection in conjunction with the Town’s Master Transportation Plan. The design must meet all CDOT standards for associated roadway design. The project design shall accommodate for the current roadway configuration and for the ultimate ROW while providing for safety and connectivity for the local traffic.
The Town is seeking to contract a consultant that will be an extension of Town staff in the capacity of a Project Manager. The Project Manager position will function as a member of Town staff with a direct reporting relationship to the Public Works Engineering Manager, and will oversee all aspects of the project through design.
