The Town of Mead (Town or Owner) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to provide the Town with on-call Snow Removal Services. The selected Contractor(s) shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to ensure timely performance of the required services on an “as needed” basis to supplement Town crews. Bidders may bid on any or all the Bid Schedules. Award of this IFB may be non-exclusive, i.e., awarded to more than one Bidder per the Bid Schedule.
The Town is requesting an hourly rate and monthly retainer to provide equipment and operate a variety of snow removal equipment with plows and sanders including single axle or tandem axle dump trucks, pickups, and utility vehicles. Hourly rates are also requested for additional front-end loader and motor grader equipment, although this equipment is not anticipated to be utilized during every storm, and will not be secured with a monthly retainer.

The Service Provider must be able to provide the equipment bid and a qualified operator at any time within 90 minutes of being called by the Town Representative. All dump truck drivers must have a valid CDL license, and all operators must be qualified to operate the specified equipment. All equipment must comply with DOT, CDL, and any other Local/State/Federal requirements.
