Summary of Specifications:
The Town of Mead (OWNER) will receive sealed Bids for the construction of the Area Trails Project Highland Ditch Crossing project until 10:00 AM September 13, 2016 at the Town of Mead, 441 Third Street, P.O. Box 626, Mead, CO 80542 (970) 535-4477, attention Linda Blackston, Clerk. Bids shall be clearly marked "Town of Mead – Area Trails Project, Highland Ditch Crossing". The bids will be publicly opened at 10:15 AM September 13, 2016.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at Town Hall, 441 Third Street, Mead, CO 80542 on August 30, 2016 at 9:00 AM. A site walk of the location for the new Area Trails Project, Highland Ditch Crossing will follow the pre-bid conference for any interested parties.
The work will include all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, tools, and materials to construct a new 8’ crusher fine trail, the Highland Ditch crossing and replace a gravel private access drive apron within the public right-of-way and easements. The project is to be constructed on the west side of 3rd Street (aka County Road 7) at the Highland Ditch/ 3rd Street intersection. The Town is requesting bids on two options to cross the Highland Ditch. The base bid includes a prefabricated pedestrian bridge spanning the ditch. The Alternate Bid includes a 6’x12’ concrete box culvert and wing walls.
