INVITATION TO BID
RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids for construction of the Monument Raspberry Lane Street and Waterline Improvements project will be received by the Town of Monument, 645 Beacon Lite Road, Monument, CO 80132 until April 22nd at 2:00 p.m. (local time) and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Late bids will not be accepted. Bids will only be accepted from the General Contractors previously approved by the City; approved Contractors are [CONTRACTORS].
OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained on or after March 29th. Contract Documents will be available electronically via email.

Electronic Copy: CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will be available as .pdf files. ENGINEER shall be contacted if an electronic copy is requested.

PREBID MEETING: A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit shall be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 6th at Monument Town Hall.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work to be performed under this project consists of replacement of an 8-inch diameter C900 PVC pipe in a residential neighborhood containing 48 residences including all water service connections, installation of twelve 8-inch gate valves, replacement of four hydrants, and all appurtenances and fittings to make connections to the existing pipelines. Work includes reconstruction and repaving of an existing 2-lane residential roadway to include reconstruction of curb & gutter and replacement of stormwater inlets. All landscaping, driveways and utilities disturbed during construction activities shall be repaired or replaced. This work shall include all civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and structural work required therein.
BID SECURITY: Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified cashier's check, or a corporate bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the TOWN OF MONUMENT in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount bid. The Successful BIDDER will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount not less than 100% of the contract price.
ADDRESS AND MARKING OF BID:  The envelope enclosing the bid shall be sealed and addressed to the TOWN OF MONUMENT and delivered or mailed to the TOWN OF MONUMENT (645 Beacon Lite Rd, Monument, CO 80132). The envelope shall be plainly marked in the upper left-hand corner with the name and address of the bidder and shall bear the words "Bid for," followed by the Project title per the Contract Documents and the date and hour of opening of bids. The certified or cashier’s check, money order, or bidder's bond shall be enclosed in the same envelope with the bid. Refer to Article 15 in Section 00 21 13 - “Instructions to Bidders” for additional submittal requirements.
PROJECT ADMINISTRATION:  All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids shall be directed to the ENGINEER for the project, and all questions shall be in writing. Questions must be received by 5:00 p.m. local time April 13th.
