2022-08 - Town of Monument: WTP #4/5 Replacement of Metal Siding and Roof Project

Project Description:  The Town of Monument (ToM) has a need to replace the current Water Treatment Plant (WTP) #4/5 siding and roof.  The current facility is comprised of a building that is approximately 1,200sf (40’ x 30’ x 16’ approx..).  In general, the scope of work includes replacement of the existing exterior metal siding, gutters, and metal roofing of the WTP #4/5 buildings, and other miscellaneous work as deemed reasonable by the siding expert as well as but not limited to the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the complete installation of the metal siding, gutters, and roofing.

The contracted services will be completed while the WTP #4/5 remains in service and accessible to Town Water Employees.  The SCADA System will need to remain operational during the construction phase of this project.

The bid needs to include a cost estimation for the bill of materials and labor costs.  The Town of Monument would like to complete this project before the end of 2023.

Scope of Work:  The work shall include the furnishing of all supervision, labor, materials, and services required to make the necessary improvements. Along with the addition of siding, the Contractors shall be required to demolish and remove existing materials and dispose of all waste material. Repairs shall be billed on an agreed upon hourly rate and percent mark-up on materials.
