INVITATION TO BID
RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids for construction of the Wells No. 11, 12 &13 Facilities project will be received by the Town of Monument, 645 Beacon Lite Road, Monument, CO 80132, until January 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. (local time) and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained by emailing the ENGINEER. The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will be sent electronically in PDF.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work includes but is not limited to construction of the Wells No. 11, 12 & 13 Facilities on three separate sites. Each of the three sites includes construction of a wood stud building containing flanged ductile iron pipe, manual and electric butterfly valves, check valve, raw water sample tap, magnetic flow meter, chemical injection assemblies, and a static mixer. A liquid sodium hypochlorite system consisting of a 100-gallon double walled tank, chemical metering pump skid, bulk fill line assembly, chlorine analyzer, and CPVC chemical piping shall also be provided in each building. Each building shall include concrete foundation, two electric heating units, ventilation fan, louver, electric water heater, electrical and SCADA panels. Site work at each site includes yard piping, concrete pads, wrought iron fencing, and gravel dry well sump. The Work shall include all civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, controls and instrumentation work required therein.
ADDRESS AND MARKING OF BID: The envelope enclosing the bid shall be sealed and addressed to the Town of Monument and delivered or mailed to 645 Beacon Lite Road, Monument, CO 80132. The envelope shall be plainly marked in the upper left-hand corner with the name and address of the bidder and shall bear the words "Bid for," followed by the Project title per the Contract Documents and the date and hour of opening of bids. The certified or cashier’s check, money order, or bidder's bond shall be enclosed in the same envelope with the bid. Refer to Article 13 in Section 00 21 13 - “Instructions to Bidders” for additional submittal requirements.
LABOR REQUIREMENTS: The attention of Bidders is directed to the applicable federal and state requirements regarding conditions of employment to be observed. All bidders are required to comply with Executive Order No. 11246 regarding equal employment opportunities.
PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids shall be directed to the ENGINEER for the project, and all questions shall be in writing. It shall be understood, however, that no interpretations of the manufacturer’s drawings will be made by telephone. For "or equal" items to be considered for evaluation, Contractor must submit information in compliance with Article 10 in Section 00 21 13 - “Instructions to Bidders.” No clarifications or questions will be answered three (3) days prior to bid date.
