The Town of Snowmass Village, Colorado is a mountain town with some of the best recreational opportunities in North America. Visitors come from all over the world to enjoy the world class ski slopes, trails, and festivals. The year-round population only includes approximately 2,800 people, but the Town serves many more that come to Snowmass Village to work and play. Therefore, the Town would like to execute a comprehensive survey questionnaire available to all residents, guests, and employees.
The overall purpose of the Community Survey is not only to make sure the Town is providing excellent services for its residents, but also to get actionable feedback and information that can make improvements, if needed. The survey may also make the Town aware of items or concerns that need to be addressed.
As practicable, the Town also wants this information to:
- Assess current community views;
- Develop goals and objectives for the future of the community;
- Identify issues that the Town can act upon to enhance the quality of life;
- Evaluate any attitude changes that have occurred over the course of previous surveys; and
- Gain a better understanding of citizen priorities and quality of life values for their community.
This will be the Town's 5th iteration of a community survey. The previous surveys were conducted in 2007, 2013, 2015 and 2017. The 2019 survey and report of results should utilize these previous surveys to capture trends in public opinion.
