The Town of Wellington (Town) is undertaking a significant Colorado State Highway 1 (SH 1), Cleveland Avenue revitalization. Currently CDOT hasn’t been able to provide a clearly defined rights-of-way (ROW) for a corridor from 1st St. to 6th St. Resolving the abutting properties ROW issues will be required as part of this proposal. Descriptions and mapping will need to meet current CDOT Right-of-Way Manual for ROW recording. The area includes residential, business, and Town owned properties. In addition to figuring out existing ROW through a record search of the Larimer County Clerk and Recorders Office a new clearly defined ROW will need to be proven and recorded.
Additionally, a topographic survey of the existing condition within the approved CDOT ROW will also need to be completed that includes all surface features. The limits of the topo will extend the entire length of SH 1 from the eastside of Burlington Northern Sante Fe (BNSF) RR crossing, continuing east to the west side of the CDOT I-25 ROW. The adjacent Town streets intersecting SH 1 are to be included in the topo effort for a length 75-lf from the SH1 ROW and 30-ft on either side of street centerline (60-ft total width). Data accuracy is needed to allow a civil engineering design effort for road, sidewalk and drainage features. Utility locates and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) data (Quality Level A and B) will be collected, potholing will be supplied by Wellington utilities at predetermined. Utility location services are to be included within the project area and shown in topo data.
