Specifications include, but are not limited to: The BFD is seeking proposals for vendor provided training aligning with CT DPH OEMS, NCCR, and NREMT requirements. 1. Company must be an EMS provider/instructor licensed by the State of Connecticut to deliver continuing education services as designated by the Connecticut Department of Public Health Office of Emergency Medical Services (CT DPH OEMS) 2. Company must not have any “Licensure Actions or Pending Charges” as listed by the CT Department of Public Health. 3. Company must coordinate with the BFD Special Services Division to design and implement an in-service training program for recertification of BFD Personnel to EMR and EMT levels. 4. Company will include itemized quote to provide initial EMR, initial EMT, EMR to EMT Bridge, and EMR re-instatement classes. These quotes will be all cost included per student. Quotes will be separate and distinct for each contract year. This training will be as needed. 5. Company shall be responsible for filing all necessary documents for classes and certifications with CT DPH OEMS and the National Registry; 6. Company must be able to deliver services within the geographic boundaries of the City of Bridgeport, with the classrooms at Bridgeport Fire Headquarters at 30 Congress Street serving as the primary venue. 7. Company shall provide in person course instruction as necessary conforming to BFD Line schedule based on four shifts. Any in person instruction will be provided Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM excluding holidays. 8. Proposals shall meet the minimum standards prescribed by CT DPH OEMS and NCCR requirements for EMR and EMT. 9. Proposals shall include the delivery of all necessary skills verification per CT DPH OEMS including proctors and equipment. 10. Proposals shall include CPR certification including provision of an e-Card per the American Heart Association 11. Proposals shall include mandated CT DPH OEMS continuing education requirements including, but not limited to Human Trafficking and Suicide/PTSD. 12. Continuing education via online instruction with verified content from CT DPH OEMS, and tracking will be provided through an online Learning Management System (LMS) accessible to each individual member and maintained by the provider. The LMS will be pre-approved by the BFD and abide to distributed learning limits of National Registry and CT DPH OEMS. 13. A BFD Administrator will have 24-hour access to BFD Personnel individual LMS log on information, records, and reports. All course and student records, certification documents, and supporting records will remain property of Bridgeport Fire Department. No property of Bridgeport Fire Department will be disseminated to a third party without written consent of the Bridgeport Fire Department.
