Specifications include, but are not limited to: SCOPE OF WORK: A. The sweeping of approximately 105 road miles (approximately 210 curb miles) of winter sand debris throughout the Town of Avon to include two road miles of sweeping within the Secret Lake section of Town. The Town reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of miles in accordance with budget appropriation and need. B. A Town map will be provided with the roads to be swept clearly marked. C. Sweeping must be accomplished in 45 working days between April and May. D. Contractor is responsible for his fuel. E. Contractor must provide a minimum of two (2) self-loading mechanical sweepers, and provide backup equipment available within two working days in case of breakdown. Equipment must be in good working condition. The Town will monitor equipment performance. F. The use of bottom-dump sweepers will not be allowed. G. Water will be provided by the Town at no cost to the Contractor. A water wagon and operator will also be provided by the Town to assist the Contractor. H. Storage and cleaning facilities will be provided at the Public Works Facility on Arch Road, at the Contractors risk. I. Sufficient dump trucks with operators will be provided by the Town to transport the all debris collected to a location as to be determined by the Town.
