The Town of East Hartford is seeking the services of a qualified snow removal contractor to provide winter weather and property maintenance services for Church Corners Inn, which is located at 860 Main Street in East Hartford (the “Property”). The project scope encompasses winter weather maintenance at the Property and along the road right-of-way adjacent to the Property. Contractors must be skilled and experienced in working with municipalities in Connecticut and possess thorough knowledge of property maintenance. The selected contractor for this RFP (the “Contractor”) will provide snow removal services (the “Required Services”) for the Property’s sidewalks on behalf of the Town of East Hartford as outlined in this RFP (See approximate area on the plan in Appendix A). The sidewalks to be maintained include those along State and Town right-of-way adjacent to the Property (including 118 feet of frontage on Main Street and 88 feet of frontage on Locust Court). The Contractor will also be required to pick up bulk waste as well as typical waste items on an on-call basis. The Town of East Hartford will notify the contractor of the need to remove waste and will require a response within 48 hours to the on-call notification. For all Required Services, the Contractor shall furnish all tools, labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary to maintain the Developed Area. Contractor pricing shall include all administrative efforts, office expense, vehicle mileage charges, and other business expenses necessary to provide the Required Services. The Town will compensate the Contractor for Required Services on a monthly basis. The monthly charge shall be calculated from the Contractor’s bid prices proposed by the Contractor in their Unit Price Proposal.
