a. General Tree Pruning Tasks: i. Safety Pruning: Removing all hangers and or attached dead branches larger than 2” in diameter. ii. Crown Cleaning: Removing all dead, dying and diseased branches larger than 1/2” in diameter. iii. Structural Pruning: Remove crossing and rubbing branches, pruning to promote desired form. iv. Specialty Pruning: Pollarding, Shaping, Clearance (NOT near to electrical conductors); prune tree(s) to a desired shape or size at the direction of the Parks and Recreation Department. b. General Tree Removal Tasks: i. Technical Removal: Removal requires rigging. ii. Forestry Removal: Tree can be felled from the ground. iii. Brush and Log Removal: Non-stream downed tree and debris chipped, logs bucked and hauled away. iv. Stream Blockage Removal: Removal of logs and debris from creeks and streams. v. Complete Tree Removal: Removal of all above ground parts of the tree and any resulting debris. vi. Stump Removal: Removal of tree stump and surface roots to a minimum depth of 4” unless otherwise specified by the city arborist.
