GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS A. Bidders are not required to furnish all of the items listed in this bid. B. Bidders supplying drainage inlets and related products must be approved by the Delaware Department of Transportation as supplier of precast products. PRODUCTS A. Precast Portland Cement Concrete Sanitary Sewer Manholes 1. Precast Manholes and other wastewater structures shall be made with minimum compressive strength 4000 psi concrete and shall meet the requirements of specifications ASTM C-478 latest revisions and the New Castle County Specifications Spec. Plates SS-MH-1 (see Appendix). Tests shall be in accordance with ASTM C-497, latest revision. 2. The top of the base walls, the ends of the risers, and the bottom ends of the precast tops shall be formed so that when assembled with the base, they make a continuous manhole. Joints shall be of such a design that permits effective joining and placement without irregularities in the interior wall surface. The inside diameter shall equal 48 inches, or 60 inches as specified on the order. There shall be no more than 2 lifting holes cast into each section.
