Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Court Social Services Division (CSSD) of the District of Columbia Courts has identified a need for a qualified Contractor to provide Balanced and Restorative Justice (BARJ) Drop-in Center Based Community-Based Tutoring/Educational Services to youth under the supervision of CSSD. This contract request is for individual and group tutoring services that will be based at BARJ Drop-In Centers, other CSSD identified sites and/or community locations. The D.C. Courts is seeking proposals for the purchase of BARJ Drop-In Center Based and/or Community-Based Tutoring/Educational Services aimed at providing academic intervention to court involved youth at risk for juvenile delinquency, substance abuse, truancy, running away, academic failure, mental health and child welfare involvement. These youth may also be dually jacketed with the Department of Youth Rehabilitative Services (DYRS), the Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA), Pre-Trial Services Agency (PSA) and/or Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA). The goal of this contract is to build academic and developmental competencies for youth under the supervision of the CSSD. In so doing, targeted youth will assume a responsible outlook toward citizenship, thereby assisting efforts to build stronger neighborhoods and communities. The initial contract(s) for the prescribed scope/statement of work shall be for a period of one year. The DC Courts expects to award multiple contract awards for this solicitation. Each Contract is expected to serve approximately one hundred (100) or more youth per year, with a minimum guarantee of at least eight (8) youth per year.
