Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor(s) shall provide event crowd management personnel and services at the Facilities or other locations designated by Events DC as needed. The crowd management services shall include, but not be limited to: 1. Ticket taking/scanning and capacity counting; 2. Conducting baggage and personnel screening at multiple access points through use of visual inspections, metal detecting hand wands and/or walk-through magnetometers; 3. Verifying credentials and identification of personnel and visitors, including those that are used for backstage, VIPs and media staging; 4. Enforcing alcohol policies; 5. Identifying and reporting security and safety violations, incidents and/or risks; 6. Maintaining a proper chain of custody for all prohibited items that are brought into any of the Facilities and confiscated; 7. Ensuring that prompt action is taken to prevent or minimize losses, accidents, fires, property damage, safety hazards and security incidents; 8. Promptly responding to on-site emergencies and incidents; 9. Monitoring and controlling ingress, egress and access; 10. Preventing unauthorized access to restricted areas of the Facilities; 11. Assisting on-site personnel in emergency situations, including evacuations; and 12. Providing other assistance and support to security personnel, as required. b) The Contractor(s) shall coordinate its services with the building security company at the Facilities, the event security contractor(s), the Metropolitan Police Department as well as Events DC staff: 1. In coordination with the event security personnel and/or the Metropolitan Police Department, detaining or evicting unruly guests; 2. In coordination with the event security personnel and/or the Metropolitan Police Department, handling rushing or unruly crowds, mosh pits or other crowd disturbances; 3. In coordination with the event security personnel and/or the Metropolitan Police Department, detaining or evicting unruly guests.
