Scope of Work: 1. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing end-of-the-line terminal interior cleaning services to WMATA’s bus fleet at twelve (12) terminal rail stations. *WMATA reserves the right to add or delete locations and will provide notification to the Contractor should this action be required. Bus cleaning services for this contract shall include all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to perform required tasks. 2. The Contractor shall be responsible for cleaning all trash (i.e., newspapers and debris) from each bus. Remove all trash from under the seats, on the seats, on the sides of the seats, and between cushions, and floor vents. 3. The Contractor shall remove gum, glue, stickers, graffiti, and tape from all surfaces using an effective approved cleaning product. Surfaces include floors, ceilings, side panels, seats, doors, windows, handrails, and stanchions. 4. The Contractor shall clean the doors thoroughly using an approved glass cleaner on all the interior glass areas. Use the approved cleaning product to clean the remainder of the door panels including touch bars and handles. 5. The Contractor shall clean windows and mirrors with the approved glass cleaner. No smears, streaks, smudges, or residue can be visible after a window or mirror has been cleaned. 6. The Contractor shall be responsible for interior window cleaning if notified or as time allows. Contractors will have between 5 to 10 minutes to clean the bus before the bus goes back into passenger service. 7. Buses requiring additional cleaning attention that cannot be safely conducted at the terminal must be removed from service and taken to the assigned bus division for servicing. The Contractor cleaning Supervisor shall notify WMATA’s MICC via telephone at 202-962-1938 of buses identified as requiring additional attention for customer accidents. WMATA’s MICC will coordinate to have such buses removed from service and taken to the nearest bus division for servicing. Removal of buses is highly undesirable and must be minimized where practicable. 8. The Contractors shall be cognizant while working to clean buses as WMATA customers will be boarding simultaneously. 9. The Contractor shall return valuables left by customers to the station manager.
