Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall furnish the personnel, necessary, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to ensure that grounds maintenance is performed at ATC/TRPM locations clearing snow and ice and from driveways, roadways, internal roads, and parking lots within the boundaries and present a clean, neat, and professional appearance. WMATA will provide, in advance, the location and time where services will be required. The Authority has locations in Washing, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia, and any area may require service, therefore, the selected vendor shall be available to work in any of the areas identified. Specific work location sites will be directed by the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR(s). All work performed under this contract will be paid on an hourly basis. • Contractor(s) shall have all snow equipment (Truck w/plowing attachment and salt spreader) necessary to completely remove snow and ice as directed by the COTR • The contractor shall remove snow when accumulation reaches 3 inches or within 2 hours after the snowfall stops; This may require multiple snow/ice removals each day. When snowfall is heavy or accumulations become excessive, (Estimation: Wet snow 1”-5” results 62.4/5=12.5 and Light Fluffy 2.5”-12” - 62.4/12 = 5.2 pounds) • All equipment supplied shall be in good working order and furnished with a qualified person/operator • Contractor(s) may or may not be required to salt • All driveways, roadways, internal roads, parking lots are to be cleared • No snow shall be pushed into or on any public streets
