Summary of Specifications:
BAY COUNTY, FLORIDA is requesting proposals for Auditing Services. Proposals will be received not later than 4:00 PM (CST) on June 20, 2006 at the Bay County Finance Office (Attn: Joseph Rogers) located at 240 E. 4th Street, Panama City, Florida 32401. Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, plainly marked with the name of the firm, firm’s address, date and time of proposal opening, and proposal number (06-36) for Bay County, Request for Professional Auditing Services. DESCRIPTION OF REQUESTED SERVICES: Bay County is soliciting the services of qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit its financial statements for the fiscal years ending September 30, 2006,2007,2008, with the option to audit the County’s financial statements for one subsequent fiscal year. These audits are to be performed in accordance with the provisions contained in the request for proposals. Firms interested in submitting a proposal must submit by June 1, 2006, their notification of interest to the Bay County Finance Office. This notification will enable the Bay County Finance Office to provide all proposal related information to all interested parties. A Pre-proposal Conference for firms interested in submitting proposals will be held at 2:00 PM (CST) on June 7, 2006 in the Bay County Finance Office Conference room located at 240 E. 4th Street, Panama City, Florida 32401. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals in whole or in part, to waive informalities in the proposal documents, to obtain new proposals, or to postpone the proposal opening pursuant to the Board Purchasing Policy. Each proposal shall be valid to BAY COUNTY for a period of ninety (90) days after the proposal opening.
