Summary of Specifications:
Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, plainly marked with Bidders name, address, date and time of bid opening, and bid number for BAY COUNTY, BAY COUNTY PIER PAVILION AND PARKING LOT. No bid will be opened unless accompanied by proof of Florida Department of Transportation qualification (current FDOT certificate of Qualification) in the following work categories: 1) Flexible Paving, 2) Hot Plant-Mixed, Bituminous Structural and Surface Courses, 3) Drainage, 4) Florida License to do building Construction. In addition all subcontractors submitted must provide copies of their licenses.DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work consists of but is not limited to:
New Restroom Building for Bay County. The project is located at the Bay County Pier on Front Beach Road at Alf Coleman Drive in Panama City.
The work includes demolition of existing surface and subsurface utilities around the building site and the construction of a new Restroom Building as detailed in plans and specifications in this bid package. To complete the project concrete piles will be set and a structural floor slab will be poured. The structure of the building is concrete columns with a wooden roof structure. The infill walls are wood studs and are sheathed with plywood and exterior or interior finishes. The building is decked with sheathing board and has a standing seam aluminum roof. Plumbing includes toilets and lavatories, electric water coolers and outdoor showers. Minimal lighting and other electrical provisions. A new parking lot, modified connections to Front Beach Road, landscape work and irrigation complete the project. A MANDATORY Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on November 8, 2005 at 10:00 AM (CST), at the Purchasing Division located at 517 East 9th Street, Panama City, Florida 32401. The completed Pre-Qualification Application of Prospective Bidders will be required to be submitted to the Purchasing Agent at the Pre-bid Meeting. No bids will be accepted without submission of the Pre-Qualification Application. Bid documents are available to bidder at the Bay County Purchasing Division 517 E. 9th Street, Panama City, Florida 32401, and may be examined at this address or obtained for a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per set.
