Summary of Specifications:
SEALED PROPOSALS for the Bay County Jail Roof Replacement Project shall be received by the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BAY COUNTY, FLORIDA at the Purchasing Department, 840 W. 11th Street, Suite 2500, Panama City, Florida 32401 up until 1:30 PM (CST) on April 2, 2012. Sealed submittals shall be publically opened at 2:00 PM (CST) on April 2, 2012. Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, plainly marked with respondent’s name, address, date and time of opening, and RFP number 12-20 for the Bay County Jail Roof Replacement Project. Please submit one (1) original and eight (8) copies of your submittal package. Description of Work: This will be a design–build contract to design and construct a replacement roof that covers approximately 70,000 sq. ft. on a portion of the existing Bay County Jail Annex located at 5700 Star Lane, Bay County, Florida. The Design–Build Contractor shall be responsible for complete construction including engineering, architectural drawings, removal of existing roof, proper disposal of all debris, roof preparation, protecting existing roof from leaks while work is being performed, and installing a new roof. Contractor is responsible for designing and constructing roof replacement in accordance with the Design Criteria Package developed for the project.
