RFB-06-17 - Liquid Caustic Soda

Summary of Specifications:
The Water Treatment Facility will require approximately 1,200 liquid tons of Caustic Soda per year. The quantity is the approximate annual quantity based on expected future need. Quantities may be increased or decreased depending on actual need during the contract term; however, no price adjustments will be allowed as a result of a reduction in the quantity purchased. 

2. Specifications 

a. The supplier shall provide Bay County with an affidavit that the Caustic Soda Solution furnished complies with applicable requirements of AWWA B 501 - latest edition. 

b. The liquid Caustic Soda Solution shall contain approximately 50% Sodium Hydroxide by weight and 50% Water by weight. 

c. Product must be certified for use in potable water by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF). Appropriate certification letter must accompany the bid.
