Summary of Specifications:
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Provide Polymer upon demand in accordance with requirements described in bid documents. Polymers shall be provided in dry form and shall be readily and completely soluble in water. Polymer is to be delivered in dry form for make up at the Water Treatment Plant. The polymer must maintain ninety percent (90%) active ingredient strength for up to six (6) full months after delivery, and the other physical and chemical characteristics of the polymer shall not change during this period. The polymer materials in both concentrated and diluted form shall be classified as non-hazardous material for shipping and use and shall not require special handling nor shall they pose hazards to employees working with them. The polymer supplied must have a low toxicity with respect to contact with the skin and eyes and to accidental ingestion or inhalation. Material Safety Data Sheets for this product must be furnished by Supplier at the time of the bench testing using the proposed polymer. Product data information is also required. The Bay County Laboratory may sample and test the polymer to determine the concentrations of active ingredients. The bidder shall provide instructions in writing accompanying the sample, for the laboratory procedures required to perform the test for the determination of active solids ingredients.
