Summary of Specifications:
Bay County is looking for a Contractor that is capable of providing life safety and improved property protection for Building #3 and #4 at the Salvation Army Rental Housing. The building site is located at the 1824 West 15th Street Panama City. Construction shall be constructed in accordance with plans titled “Salvation Army Rental Housing Renovations” dated February 9, 2013 and specifications titled “Project Manual – Salvation Army Rental Housing Renovations” dated February 12, 2013. The Contractor shall be responsible for complete furnishing and installing construction materials including removing all windows and doors and replace them with new large missile impact windows and doors, install security hardware on doors. Remove existing roof and replace metal roof to match existing gauge roof material or greater, properly dispose of all roof materials, and replace any deteriorated plywood and fasteners. Install a new guttering system as part of new roofing system. Remove and replace existing HVAC units and water heaters according to plans; include building an enclosure around outside condenser units and build a new pad to elevate them from flooding. Convert one bathroom in each building to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, replace carpets, and painting. Stiffen and/or strengthen existing walls to meet current 2010 high velocity wind zone codes, provide a complete load path connection from foundation through roof to maintain the buildings protective envelope. Contractor is responsible for keep all pathways clear due to existing residents living in other building, following OSHA safety requirements and install safety barrier for security and public safety. All products shall be Florida Approved Products. All Finishes and other work associated with the complete construction.
