Summary of Specifications:
SEALED PROPOSALS for Scrap Metal/White Goods/Non-Segregated Metals Recycling will be received by the BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BAY COUNTY, FLORIDA at the Purchasing Department, 840 West 11th Street, Suite 2500, Panama City, Florida 32401 up until 1:30 PM (CDT) on October 26, 2011. Proposals will be publicly opened at 2:00 PM (CDT) on October 26, 2011.
Proposals shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, plainly marked with Proposer’s name, address, date and time of proposal opening, and proposal number 11-47 for Scrap Metal/White Goods/Non-Segregated Metals Recycling.
Please submit an original and one (1) copy of your bid package.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Remove all segregated white goods/scrap metals collected at the Steelfield Road Landfill. White goods/scrap metals may be bailed, compacted or shredded at the landfill facility providing the equipment being utilized is designed to prohibit refrigerant oils and other contaminants from being discharged into the environment. Non-segregated metals shall be removed from the waste stream or inactive disposal area on an on-going basis, or as needed to keep from negatively impacting landfilling operations.
