Summary of Specifications:
Bay County is looking for a Contractor that is capable of performing a construction retrofit (wind/flood) on the Bay County Agricultural Extension Office Facility located at 2728 E. 14th Street (formerly the Old Cedar Grove City Hall Building). The facility shall be retrofitted/constructed in accordance with plans and specifications titled “Wind and Flood Retrofit The UF Agricultural Extension Building” dated October 10, 2011 w/rev. 11/19/12, 12/26/12 and Specifications titled “Project Manual and Specifications – Wind & Flood Retrofit The University of Florida Agricultural Extension Building dated 10/10/11 w/rev. 12/26/12”. The Contractor shall be responsible for complete furnishing and installing of construction materials including site preparation, demolition, disposal, building construction with insulation, miscellaneous electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, roofing, drainage improvements, and all other work associated with the complete construction, site restoration and clean-up. The project is a Disaster Recovery Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, Contract #10DB-K4-01-13-01-K03 (Attachment 1) and Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) Contract 13HM-3G-01-13-01-224 (Attachment 4). It is imperative that Contractors examine and become familiar with the grant conditions established by the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) and the Department of Emergency Management (DEM). Funding for the project has been made possible through these grants and is contingent on strict conformance to the guidelines set forth by DEO and DEM.
