Summary of Specifications:
1. Quantity: Anticipated annual quantity is approximately 120 tons, delivered in one ton containers. No minimum or maximum annual quantity is guaranteed. 2. Quality Specifications: a. Liquid chlorine supplied under this contract shall comply in all respects with the AWWA Standard B 301, Standard for Liquid Chlorine, pages 1 through 6. 3. Delivery: a. Delivered to Bay County Water Treatment Plant, 3400 Transmitter Road, Panama City, FL 32404, located just south of the intersection of U.S. Hwy 231 and Transmitter Road. b. Must be delivered to and received at the County’s Water Treatment Plant within five (5) days after the date the County purchase order is provided to the supplier. Trucks shall only be unloaded between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Although not typical, weekend delivery may be required. Any variation from the scheduled delivery hours must be approved in advance by the Chief Water Treatment Plant Operator. c. Each delivery shall include a minimum of six (6) one ton containers, with both the containers and the delivery vehicle meeting all requirements of AWWA Standard B 301, Section 3. d. Hydrostatic testing dates on containers must be in compliance and viewable on containers. e. This contract shall include the requirement for the supplier to pick up the empty chlorine containers from the water plant for return shipment as part of each delivery of full containers. f. The delivery truck must be equipped with a suitable crane or other lifting equipment to safely offload the full one ton containers and load the empty one ton containers onto the truck. The County will not provide loading or unloading equipment for chlorine containers. g. Full chlorine containers that, in the opinion of the County water plant operator, show visible signs of corrosion or leaking shall be rejected and not accepted for delivery
