PUBLIC NOTICE/ADVERTISEMENT REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) NO. 10-04/05 FOR PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE, PLANNING & URBAN DESIGN AND ENGINEERING SERVICES IN VARIOUS PROFESSIONAL SPECIALTIES ON AN “AS-NEEDED BASIS”, FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN WHICH THE BASIC CONSTRUCTION COST DOES NOT EXCEED $500,000 PER PROJECT, OR FOR STUDY ACTIVITIES FOR WHICH THE FEE DOES NOT EXCEED $25,000 Scope of Services: This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeks responses from firms with strong professional qualifications in the following specialized areas: Architecture - General, Landscape, Planning/Urban Design and Historic Building Specialization Engineering - Civil, Electrical, Environmental/Coastal, Mechanical, Structural, Transportation Planning/Traffic Engineering, and Land Surveying Services. Sealed qualifications will be received until 3:00 PM on May 3, 2005, at the following address: City of Miami Beach City Hall Procurement Division -- Third Floor 1700 Convention Center Drive Miami Beach, Florida 33139 Any response received after 3:00 PM on May 3, 2005 will be returned to the consultant unopened. The responsibility for submitting qualifications before the stated time and date is solely the responsibility of the consultant. The City will not be responsible for delays caused by mail, courier service, including U.S. Mail, or any other occurrence. A Pre-RFQ Submission Meeting is scheduled for April 19, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the following address: City of Miami Beach City Hall Fourth Floor City Manager’s Small Conference Room 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida. The City of Miami Beach has contracted with BidNet and has begun utilizing a new central bid notification system created exclusively for state and local agencies located in South Florida. Created in conjunction with BidNet(r), this new South Florida Purchasing system has replaced the DemandStar system and allow vendors to register online and receive notification of new bids, amendments and awards.
