Summary of Specifications:
AUCTIONEER SERVICES OF SURPLUS ITEMS The City of Miami Beach is soliciting responses from Auctioneers to conduct public auctions of unclaimed property on an ‘as needed basis”, as specified in this RFP, from a qualified contractor. The successful proposer will be responsible for handling all phases of public auctions or sales in a professional manner, provide adequate security for the unclaimed property and auction premises, submit an accounting report of the sale transactions, and remit the sale proceeds to the Department. The City contemplates entering into an agreement with the successful Proposer, for an initial term of three (3) years with two (2) renewal options, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion. Sealed Proposals will be received until 3:00 PM on March 14, 2011 at the following address: City of Miami Beach City Hall Procurement Division - Third Floor 1700 Convention Center Drive Miami Beach, Florida 33139 Any Proposal received after 3:00 PM on March 14, 2011 will be returned to the Proposer unopened. The responsibility for submitting Proposals before the stated time and date is solely the responsibility of the Proposer. The City will not be responsible for delays caused by mail, courier service, including U.S. Mail, or any other occurrence.
