Summary of Specifications:
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH RIGHT-OF-WAY INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM – NEIGHBORHOOD NO. 1 – BISCAYNE POINT Scope of Work: The work specified in this bid consists of the construction of the infrastructure and site works for the Biscayne Point Right-of-Way Improvements Project. The work will include but not be limited to demolition, tree removal/ relocation, site preparation, earthwork, roadway milling and resurfacing, asphalt pavement installation, curb and gutter installation, sidewalk restoration, signage and striping installation, water main improvements, storm water improvements, lighting improvements, irrigation improvements, entry improvements, vegetation and planting within the Biscayne Point, Stillwater, and Biscayne Beach Neighborhoods. Minimum Requirements: Bidders must be licensed as a General Contractor or Underground Utility and Excavation Contractor in the State of Florida with a minimum of five (5) years experience in right-of-way and infrastructure improvements and exhibit a familiarity with deep excavations/ dewatering procedures in a coastal environment. For the purposes of compliance with this minimum experience requirement, the term “Bidder” is hereby defined to mean either the business entity or the individual employed by the Contractor (“Qualifier”) which is submitting a bid pursuant to the ITB. The business entity or Qualifier must have been in business as evidenced by an occupational or business license, or General Contractor or Underground Utility and Excavation Contractor license issued by the State of Florida a minimum of five (5) years in order to be deemed responsive. Bidder must have completed three (3) similar projects in the last five (5) years with a minimum value of $5,000,000. Each project must demonstrate experience with deep excavations/ dewatering procedures in a coastal environment. Bidders must perform at least 75% or the work with his/her own workforce. Estimated Budget: The total estimated construction cost is $14,200,000.
