Summary of Specifications:
Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 49-07/08
FOR A SOLID WASTE FRANCHISE CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE COMMERCIAL WASTE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL SERVICES.
On September 17, 2008, an ordinance of the City Commission, amending the Miami Beach City Code by amending Chapter 90 was approved concerning waste collection. In order to better serve the City of Miami Beach’s goals of sustainability and environmental stewardship, recycling services for multi-family residential buildings are to be included in the services provided by the City’s franchise waste collectors.
The term of the Agreement resulting from this RFP shall be for a term of three (3) years, with no renewal option.
Sealed qualifications will be received until 3:00 PM on November 6, 2008, at the following address: City of Miami Beach City Hall Procurement Division - Third Floor 1700 Convention Center Drive Miami Beach, Florida 33139
Any response received after 3:00 PM on November 6, 2008 will be returned to the contractor unopened. The responsibility for submitting qualifications before the stated time and date is solely the responsibility of the contractor.
The City will not be responsible for delays caused by mail, courier service, including U.S. Mail, or any other occurrence.
A non-mandatory Pre-RFQ Qualifications Meeting is scheduled for October 22, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the following address:
