Sealed bids will be received by the City of Miami Beach Procurement Director, 3rd Floor, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33139, until 3:00 p.m. on July 2, 2009 for:
FOR THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF BIKE RACKS
At time, date, and place above, bids will be publicly opened. Any bids or bids received after time and date specified will be returned to the bidder unopened. The responsibility for submitting a bid/bid before the stated time and date is solely and strictly the responsibility of the bidder/proposer. The City is not responsible for delays caused by mail, courier service, including U.S. Mail, or any other occurrence.
Purpose: The purpose of this bid is to establish a contract, by means of sealed bids, for the purchase and delivery of bike racks, on an as needed basis, for the City of Miami Beach Transportation Department. These are custom racks and specifications are being furnished herein. The immediate initial purchase is anticipated to be approximately 100 units and an estimated total of 500 units within the time frame of the contract. This contract shall remain in effect for three (3) years from date of contract execution by the Mayor and City Clerk, and may be renewed by mutual agreement for two (2) additional years, on a year to year basis.
A Pre-bid conference will be held on June 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the City Manager’s Small Conference Room, 4th Floor, City Hall, and 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33139. Attendance (in person or via telephone) to this Pre-bid meeting is encouraged and recommended as a source of information, but is not mandatory. Bidders interested in participating in the pre-bid submission meeting via telephone must follow these steps:

All responses to questions/clarifications will be sent to all prospective bidders in the form of an addendum. The City of Miami Beach reserves the right to accept any bid or bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Miami Beach, or waive any informality in any bid or bid.
