Summary of Specifications:
Purpose: The purpose of this bid is to establish a contract, by means of sealed bids, for grounds maintenance service as specified herein, from a source(s) of supply that will give prompt and efficient service. This contract shall remain in effect for three (3) years from date of contract execution by the Mayor and City Clerk, and may be renewed by mutual agreement for two (2) additional years, on a year to year basis.
Scope of Work: The work specified in this bid consists of furnishing all labor, machinery, tools, means of transportation, supplies, equipment, materials, services and incidentals necessary to provide complete landscape maintenance services as specified herein. The work shall include but not be limited to, litter retrieval and waste disposal, mowing, edging, landscape maintenance, pathway maintenance, herbicide/insecticide/fertilizer application, turf management, irrigation system operation maintenance/repair and replacement of plants as required.
Minimum Requirements: Prospective bidders must submit with their bids three references which must be for contracts over $100,000/year in landscaping services. Also, prospective bidders must meet qualifications as set forth by section 3.2 of the Bid Documents.
Estimated Annual Budget Amount: $175,000 A Pre-bid conference followed by a site visit will be held on February 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at South Pointe Park, located at 1 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida 33139.
