RFP-37-07-08 - Microwave Radio System

Summary of Specifications:
The purpose of the RFP is to acquire a new public safety radio system microwave backbone technology from a vendor capable of providing a turnkey solution for the design, implementation, training, and 24 hours per day by 7 days per week by 10 year maintenance, that are required to meet the City’s reliability and performance goals. Whether these requirements are met by a single vendor, or by more than one vendor proposing an integrated solution, will be determined upon review of the proposals submitted. 

The turnkey solution, unlike the present star topology system, must include all path studies needed to implement the full protected looped solution sought with this RFP, all network equipment, hardware, software, tools, personnel and other components required to meet the reliability and performance goals of the RFP.
