REQUEST FOR LETTERS OF INTEREST For Removal and Reinstallation of Shade Structures
The City of Miami Beach seeks proposers to provide all labor, equipment, methods and means for the emergency removal and re-attachment services for several shades structures installed in numerous City parks. It is imperative the services be initiated no more than 8 hours following the City’s authorization to begin and be completed within the following 24 hour period. Re-attachment schedules will be provided by the City immediately following the incident. In the event of an emergency, such as a Hurricane, the City would lack sufficient resources to undertake the removal and re-attachment maneuver of the shade structures currently installed among the City parks. At the time of the issuance of this RFLI the City as a total of eight (8) shade structures installed at the following sites: • Muss Park – 2 shades over tot-lot 4400 Chase Avenue Joseph Simmons, Recreation Supervisor 305-673-7765
• Normandy Isle Park & Pool – 1 large shade over the tot-lot 7030 Trouville Esplanade Edith Guerra, Recreation Supervisor 305-219-2979
• North Shore Park & Youth Center – 2 shades over baseball field bleachers & 3 over patio of center. 501 72nd Street Cindy Casanova, Facility Manager 305-861-3616
Please be advised that a site visit may be conveniently scheduled by contacting the Park Manager at each location. It should also be noted that at this time plans to install a total of three (3) more shade structures in two (2) additional sites are in process. These sites are Palm Island Park, 159 Palm Island and Marjory Stoneman Douglas Park, 3rd and Ocean Drive. Additionally, the City anticipates as many as 12-15 structures may be installed in the next 18 months. Companies interested in providing removal and re-attachment services of shade structures to the City of Miami Beach, should send a letter of interest that includes information on the services offered, pricing, and time-frame requirement.
