Summary of Specifications:
The City of Miami Beach (the “City”) has implemented various programs to improve the quality of life of residents in the City’s 13 neighborhoods via 24 capital improvement projects. Neighborhood 13 includes two bid packages: the previously completed Bid package 13B - Belle Isle ROW and Park Project was completed; and Bid Package 13C – Venetian Islands, which is currently at 100% design, based on the original scope and Commission approved BODR. The scope of services for this project is limited to Bid Package 13C – Venetian Islands, consisting of the San Marino, Di Lido and Rivo Alto islands.
The scope of services for this Project (The “Project”) provides for stormwater management, water distribution system upgrades, and restoration and enhancement of the neighborhood’s hardscape, landscape and streetscape. This Project shall be implemented with existing available funds. For existing available funds see attached Schedule #4. Previously, another Consultant performed a variety of forensic and community planning tasks culminating in the creation of the Venetian Islands BODR, which was approved by the City of Miami Beach Commission. This BODR served as the definitive Master Plan for the Project. The Consultant subsequently designed the Project and produced 100% design documents (Existing Plans) for Bid Package 13C Venetian Islands. These existing plans (including calculations and Autocad files) are owned by the City and are in the City’s possession and are available in electronic format to all prospective bidders through the City’s Procurement Department. It is expected that respondents will review the existing design documents and visit the project site in order to gain sufficient familiarization with this assignment and provide a substantive description of the methodology and approach that will be used in their design, as part of their submittals to the City.
